It all started as an incoherent 1970s villa with little charm. The Lafourcade renovation produced a richly-appointed residence, begun by elevating the central part of the building to unify its three disparate parts. The original pool, which crowded the house, was re-sited beyond and below a retaining wall on a tranquil terrace. The grounds were landscaped to create tree-lined terraces with extensive views over the Mediterranean.
