The vast Mas de Theyron, a wine estate in Boisseron in the Gard department, was formerly grouped around an enclosed courtyard. Architect Alexandre Lafourcade and landscape gardener Dominique Lafourcade opened the southeast aspect to the surrounding countryside. An Italianate garden was laid out on the pool side of the estate with olive trees, cypress trees, lavender and, and a rose-covered pergola was created leading to the pool house. Former staff quarters and outbuildings which had become derelict were reconstructed to serve as tasting rooms and cellars.
